I' ve been a client of Stella for about 4 years and I've never had anything but a wonderful experience every time I've been in. Up until a few months ago I always went to Jamie, who is incredibly talented and just cool to chat with. When Jamie took some time off to have her beautiful baby girl, I took that as an opportunity to get to know the newest member of the Stella Team, Jon.
I've been a fan of Jon's, as a musician, for years so I was excited to see if his musical talent translated to his work as a stylist. All I can say is I was impressed. Jon gave me the exact cut I was looking for and the time flew by swapping music stories (ask him about playing Wembley Stadium!). I was so happy with my cut that I've been going back to Jon ever since. Schedule an appointment with him before the secret's out!

By chance fate led me to Jon very early in his career as a student! I sat down with a huge head of super thick, heavy shapeless hair. As he led me to his station I said – if you are afraid of the “razor and creativity” we will not blend well together! He looked at me with a smile and said “NOT A PROBLEM”. SCORE! Let’s just say that Jon created a look for me that made all of the gal pals at the school green with envy! The cut was fantastic, creative and most of all fit my personality and lifestyle! Since then Jon has been cutting my hair exclusively! On a recent visit to Salon Stella, he was super excited to try out a new technique that he had been researching from world famous Nick Arrojo (“What Not to Wear”), he asked me if I minded… I will just say that I trust Jon so much that it was not a problem and the technique helped control the bulk so much for my heavy hair! Salon Stella is a warm, chic salon nestled in a quaint Northeast neighborhood. The salon is very relaxing and serene, and the music is always enjoyable and subtle. JON ROCKS!!!

I love Salon Stella!! It isn't some yuppie uptown or suburban salon. It's very down to earth and relaxed. I get my hair done by Moe, who is AWESOME! She's really good at listening to what I want, even when I'm not sure. She's super cool and fun to talk to. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I feel really lucky to have found this place!
